We're sorry you're having trouble accessing our demo.

What problem are you having?

I click on the link in my email and get a blank screen

It may be that your Internet Explorer security settings are preventing you from viewing the page. Please take the following steps to allow our demo to run.  Remember, if you are concerned about the security risk, you can always change the settings back when you are finished.
  1. Open up Internet Explorer
  2. From the 'Tools' menu select 'Internet Options'
  3. Click on the security tab
  4. Highlight the Internet icon and click on the 'Custom Level' button
  5. Under 'Reset Custom Settings' change the settings to Medium or lower and click 'Reset.'




  6. Click OK, OK and try again.

I see a "connect" button, but when I click it, nothing happens

  1. Look at the top of your Internet Explorer window and see if you have
  2. alert to install an ActiveX control (see example below).  If you do, right click on the bar and select Install ActiveS Control (see example below).



  3. Once you choose install, you will see the box below. Click on install. If you choose Don't Install, you will not be able to connect to the demo. NOTE: You only need to install this the first time you connect to the demo.

Special Netscape Instructions

You can use Netscape to access our demo. You will need to follow our instructions for Installing the ActiveX Control. You will also need to add make sure you list www.coffeeshopmanager.com as a trusted site. If you still have issues, try this:
  1. Open the page to the link you received in the email and click on the icon to set the 'Site Controls.'




  2. Select the radio button for 'I trust this site' and click on Done.


  3. If you still experience problems, open the Site Controls again and under the Rendering Engine section, choose Internet Explorer and click OK.

Firefox Instructions

At this time, it is still a bit difficult to use Firefox to access our demo. Therefore, we highly recommend  using another browser to access the demo, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape. If you would like to use Firefox, here are the directions for doing so (NOTE: You will only have to do all of this once):
  1. Make sure you have Firefox version 1.5 or higher. When the browser is open, go to the Help menu and select 'About Mozilla Firefox.' In the box that opens, the version appears underneath the Firefox name.

    If you need to update your browser to 1.5+, you can obtain the most recent version at http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/


  2. You will need to download and install two extensions for Firefox in order for the demo to work. To obtain the first extension, click on the link below:

  3. Select "Install Now" when you reach the web page (see below).




  4. When the box below appears, click "Install Now."




  5. Follow the same process to install the second extension, which you can find by clicking this link:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=1879&application=firefox


  6. After you install both extensions, close out of Firefox completely [this is important because the new extensions will not work until you restart Firefox].


  7. Open the email you received from Coffee Shop Manager and click on the link to the demo.


  8. When the page opens in Firefox, go to the Tools menu and select 'IE Tab Options'.


  9. The box shown below will appear. You will need to click on (1) Add, (2) Apply and then (3) OK.



  10. Refresh the page and you will be prompted to install an ActiveX control. You must click Install in order for the demo to work.  Allow the software to install and then click on the connect button.  This will launch the demo.

I click and get into the demo, but can't do anything

Remember you need to click on our logo to enter the Coffee Shop Manager Software. It looks like this:

It asks me for a username and password and I don't have one

You can find the user name and password in your email from Coffee Shop Manager.

I can't get to the button and drink builder parts of the software

To view the "Button" & "Drink Builder" Screens you must first click on the "Shift" button and either "Continue" or "Start" a shift.

Mac Instructions

In order to access the demo using a Macintosh, you will need to download Remote Desktop Connection Client for Macintosh. Click here for directions on how to download and install this program. 

After you've installed the program, follow these instructions:
  1. Start the newly-installed program by opening the Remote Desktop Connection folder that you copied to your hard disk during installation, and then double-clicking Remote Desktop Connection.


  2. Enter demo.coffeeshopmanager.com in the connect box.


  3. The user name for the Demo is all lower case demo.


  4. The Password is as follows and is case sensitive. It is CSMpassword


  5. The domain is domain

Once you connect with the demo, you will need to consult the directions given to you in your email in order to access the Coffee Shop Manager software.
